About

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. It is considered a medically necessary treatment for some patients. ABA therapy can be performed at home, at school and out in the community.  This therapy involves working with a trained healthcare professional called a registered behavior technician (RBT), who works with the child.  A behavior technician is supervised by a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA). BCBAs have a master’s degree or higher in behavior analysis, psychology, or education and must pass a national certification exam.
